The Boards of Directors of the Central Lakes Association of REALTORS® (CLAR) and Peterborough & the Kawarthas Association of REALTORS® (PKAR) are thrilled to announce members of PKAR have voted in favor of merging with CLAR. This significant merger will bring together close to 3,000 REALTOR® members, culminating in a dynamic and cohesive regional association.
 
The forward-thinking leadership demonstrated by the Boards of Directors, along with the trust from memberships, has paved the way creating a larger, more robust regional association. This signifies a moment of triumph for organized real estate and showcases the commitment of both associations to propel the industry to new heights.

"PKAR Members came out in exceptional numbers to take part in today's vote. Because the approval of the Integration passed with about 90% of the Members voting in favour, I feel confident that this change is exactly what our Members are looking for," said Jessica Hill President of PKAR.

This merger holds the promise of an even brighter future for real estate professionals in the region. By combining forces, the new Regional Board will possess an extended geographic reach, encompassing an expansive market area that includes Durham Region, Hastings County, Prince Edward County, Northumberland County, and Peterborough County. This broadened regional footprint will empower REALTOR® members with greater resources, access to data, and a stronger support system.
