The Central Lakes Association of REALTORS® is excited to announce its new name, marking a significant milestone. Formerly known as the Durham Region Association of REALTORS®, the association has undergone a transformation merging with neighbouring real estate associations to enhance services and data for its members.
This rebranding effort reflects the recent merger of the Durham Region Association of REALTORS® with the Quinte & District Association of REALTORS® and the Northumberland Hills Association of REALTORS®. By joining forces, these associations have created a new united entity that now covers a broader territory, providing members with access to more valuable data and tools.
"We are thrilled to introduce the Central Lakes Association of REALTORS® as the embodiment of our new, unified identity," said Meredith Kennedy President of the Central Lakes Association of REALTORS®. "This change not only acknowledges the merging of our associations but also signifies our commitment to delivering exceptional services to an even wider community of real estate professionals.”
The expanded association's geographic coverage now spans a diverse range of communities; including Durham Region, Northumberland County, and Hastings County. This consolidation enables the Central Lakes Association of REALTORS® to offer a more comprehensive suite of resources, training, and advocacy initiatives to its members.
The rebranding process will encompass a visual redesign, including a new logo and branding materials that embody the new name and membership base.
“To further the efforts of unifying data for members, the Board of Directors of the Peterborough and Kawarthas Association of REALTORS® (PKAR) proposed a merger with CLAR. This passed at their membership meeting on August 9th. The Kawartha Lakes Real Estate Association of REALTORS® (KLREA) is proposing a merger with CLAR as well and members of KRLEA will vote on August 30th,” said Central Lakes Association of REALTORS® CEO Wendy Giroux.
The proposed mergers are a strategic move to expand access to important data and create a unified platform that fosters better collaboration among real estate professionals in the respective regions.
