The Boards of Directors of the Central Lakes Association of REALTORS® (CLAR) and the Kawartha Lakes Real Estate Association (KLREA) are thrilled to announce members of KLREA have voted in favour of merging with CLAR.
Forward-thinking leadership from the Boards of Directors of each Association along with the trust and endorsement of their memberships to create a larger regional association is an exciting step forward in organizing organized real estate. This merger brings together 3,000 REALTOR® members.
CLAR President, Meredith Kennedy, stated, "We have been diligently working to break down barriers for our members, ensuring they have access to the necessary tools and data to thrive in a competitive real estate landscape. The support from members shows the value we all see in this exciting step forward."
By combining forces, CLAR encompasses an expansive market area that includes Durham Region, Hastings County, Northumberland County, Peterborough County, and the Kawarthas. This broadened regional footprint will empower REALTOR® members with greater resources, access to data, and a stronger support system.
"I appreciate the collaborative work that has gone on between the Board of Directors and staff and I look forward to strengthening our association to best serve our members," said Wendy Giroux, CEO of CLAR.
