The Durham Region Association of REALTORS® (DRAR) extends a warm welcome to Roger Bouma of RE/MAX Jazz Inc., as DRAR’s 2017 President.
“I am excited and honoured to take on this role, and look forward to delivering on our vision to raise the profile of our Association and drive value to our membership,” said Roger Bouma, DRAR 2017 President.
Roger has been a Licensed REALTOR® for over 27 years and served as a DRAR Director and Chair of Government Relations for 2015 and 2016. Roger previously served as a City of Oshawa City Councillor from 2010–2014, as Chair of the Oshawa Corporate Services Committee, as a Member of the Oshawa Finance Committee, and the Council Representative on the Oshawa Public Library Board.
Roger has held a number of other volunteer roles ranging from Seniors’ Housing to other not-for-profits boards. His areas of expertise include management, finance, corporate structure and policy.
“I believe that Roger will bring a high level of leadership and strategic thinking experience to the role,” said Sandra O'Donohue, DRAR 2015-2016 President and Immediate Past President. “He has shown a strong commitment as an Association member and Director, and I am confident he will be a great voice for the Association and its members.”
Joining Roger on the Board of Directors are: Sandra O'Donohue, Immediate Past President; Dennis Roberts, Director-at-Large; Keeley Ward, Director-at-Large; Lorrie Roberts, Durham Centre Director; Tina Bradt-Sorichetti, Durham North Director; Vicki Sweeney, Durham East Director; and Sue Duchesnay, Durham West Director.
